    The position is responsible for assisting a production lead in the fabrication and/or assembly of a variety of wastewater treatment systems.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    The position is responsible for assisting a production lead in the fabrication and/or assembly of a variety of wastewater treatment filters (Biofilters). The task involves;

    • Following production documentation and drawings
    • Usage of common hand/power tools
    • Building full production models on a weekly schedule
    • Assisting Production Leads or Production Manager on special projects when they arise

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    The position is primarily responsible for the coordination and administration of our Sales Department, reporting directly to our Sales Leader. This position plays a key role in orchestrating our sales and marketing go-to-market approach as we aim to further accelerate sales in North America.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Handling all pre-sales calls. Waterloo Biofilter often receives inquiries directly to our general sales line. The candidate will work with the customer to answer basic questions, forward the call to appropriate sales representative and document the interaction.
    • Waterloo Biofilter participates in several trade shows and conventions during the year. The candidate will handle event planning and scheduling related to those shows and will assist in determining what future shows we participate in.
    • The candidate is also responsible for a portion of our office coordination & administration requirements.
    • Assisting Sales Executives with proposals, quotes and basic designs as required.
    • Completing necessary administrative work including filing reports, scheduling appointments, or sending emails and updating our sales database.
    • Waterloo Biofilter is located in Guelph and it is expected the candidate will work from the office location in order to answer sales calls, manage the office administration and immerse in our culture of dedication to customers, professionalism and family.
    • The candidate may require some travel to trade shows in Canada and US.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    The position is primarily responsible for the sales of Waterloo Biofilter systems in the Ottawa region, reporting directly to our Sales Leader. This position plays a key role in our Sales team as the Ottawa region is a rapidly growing market for onsite wastewater treatment. Traveling around Ottawa and the surrounding area will be required to meet with customers and guide them on their journey with Waterloo Biofilter.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Working directly with customers to manage sales of Waterloo Biofilter systems in Ottawa and the surrounding region.
    • Seeking out engineers, designers, builders, septic installers, and homeowners in need of onsite wastewater treatment solutions.
    • Providing technical support to customers during the installation of their system and effectively diagnosing and troubleshooting technical product problems.
    • Assessing customers’ needs, location, resources, and budgets to provide basic design information, proposals, and quotes for Waterloo Biofilter systems.
    • Managing several customer accounts at once by communicating in person or through phone and email in a timely fashion to ensure premium customer support.
    • Working extensively with the Ontario Building Code Part 8 (a training course will be provided to the candidate).
    • Collaborating with local engineers and designers to specify our products.
    • While Waterloo Biofilter is in Guelph, it is expected the candidate will work mainly on the road, or in their home office, and be able to attend video conference calls to report on their sales and collaborate with the head office.
    • The candidate may require some travel to trade shows in Canada and US.

    Requirements:

    • Past sales experience in a similar industry.
    • Enjoys working with people and has excellent communication skills.
    • Home-based in the Ottawa area.
    • Enjoys talking with customers and being their advocate within Waterloo Biofilter.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    The position is primarily responsible for the servicing and optimization of residential and commercial wastewater treatment systems. Technicians have specifically assigned sites, in which they are to take ownership and emphasize treatment performance. Responsibilities include field servicing, sampling, troubleshooting, data analysis, and reporting. Secondary roles will include overseeing site installations, troubleshooting customer inquiries, and responding to alarm calls. Employees must adhere to all internal and external company healthy and safety policies. The technician will act as a company ambassador to continually represent the Waterloo Biofilter brand.

    Requirements:

    • Must have strong organizational skills
    • Must have strong troubleshooting skills
    • Experience with common hand/power tools
    • Ability to interpret and follow production, electrical, and design drawings
    • Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge required
    • Work independently, as well as assisting other technicians on occasion
    • Graduate of Environmental Technician or related program. Wastewater Operator-in-
      Training (OIT) Certification preferred
    • Experience with Ontario Building Code (OBC) and Ministry of Environment
      Conservation and Parks (MECP) regulations is considered an asset
    • Clean Valid Ontario Driver’s License (G designation or greater), with a good driving
      record
    • A willingness to travel throughout Ontario, as travel is required with this position.
      There will also be periodic overnight stays
    • English proficiency – strong verbal and written communication skills are required
    • Available to work forty (40) hours per week
    • Ability to lift seventy (70) pounds
    • Comfortability working outside in all-season environments
