The Waterloo Biofilter uses a patented, highly engineered foam medium to support naturally occurring bacteria. It combines physical filtration and biological treatment in one passive process.
Collect
Wastewater is collected, pre-treated and evenly distributed over the foam medium.

Water is absorbed and slowly trickles through the foam as bacteria remove contaminants.
