The Waterloo Biofilter system was recently featured on the hit HGTV show Moving the McGillivrays, episode number six entitled Sweet In-Law Suite. It was important to host Scott McGillivray to have an environmentally friendly and efficient septic system for his new home making the Waterloo Biofilter the perfect solution.
In New York’s Suffolk County (Eastern Long Island) nitrogen pollution has adversely affected groundwater supplies used for drinking water, impaired major estuaries and lakes causing eutrophication, algal blooms, and fish kills, and has contributed to the demise of a once nationally significant shellfish industry. The Phase II Demonstration of Innovative/Alternative Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems program aims to combat these issues by demonstrating nitrogen reduction technologies for single family residences in an effort to test their performance and expedite their approval.
For this program Waterloo Biofilter Systems is donating two advanced nitrogen septic systems. Waterloo Biofilter Systems is excited to be a part of this initiative and looks forward to helping the people of Suffolk County Reclaim Our Water.
Waterloo Biofilter Systems Inc. is pleased to announce the successful completion of product certification to the CAN/BNQ 3680-600 Onsite Residential Wastewater Treatment Technologies and NQ 3680-910 Stand-Alone Wastewater Treatment Systems for Isolated Dwellings standards. The Waterloo Biofilter system achieved a Class B-IV certification under CAN/BNQ 3680-600 and Class V certification under NQ 3680-910. Testing was completed using temperature condition b) of the standards where the influent wastewater is heated to a minimum temperature of 10°C.
